The idea started from a group of friends who all think and act in a way that helps others grow and learn with no negativity.
The best way to explain Humbell Culture is to break it down. Let’s start with culture, what is culture? The definition of culture is “the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society”. This shows that as a group we inspire to think alike and act/portray ourselves in a certain way.
Humbell is a combination of 2 words, humble and dumbbell.
To be humble, in our eyes, is to help each other learn and better ourselves so that we can all grow together. No matter what level you are at, there are no judgements! Everyone has to start somewhere and every one starts on different levels. Working out at the gym is a great way of showing this; this is where the dumbbell part comes into play. No matter what fitness level you are at, or what your goal is. We all have a purpose and we celebrate together the first steps on bettering ourselves and pushing our limits. As soon as you walking to a gym you should be commended on showing up and doing something to change and better yourself.
We aspire to create a community where people are inspired to put their egos aside and help out their friends, family or even a stranger. This isn’t to say that having an ego is bad! It is just saying that there is a time and a place for everything and when it comes to helping others, an ego is not needed. To help others succeed in life should be something that motivates people, not gives you a reason to put them down or laugh at them because they failed.
We at humbell culture welcome failure. We welcome it because it allows us a chance to grow and learn. Being perfect doesn’t allow you to learn. It just shows that you found one way of success, who is to know if that is the best way or not? This is why failing is so important. It tests us, it pushes us, it makes us who we are.
To answer simply, “What is Humbell Culture?” It is not one thing but a collective of things/acts that people do to make the world a better place by helping each other be better one day at a time.
Be Kind. Be Great. Be Humbell.
